Featured Artist: Robert Seidel

Robert Seidel is a Berlin-based artist who creates experimental films for projection and installation in public and curatorial contexts. He began his studying biology at Friedrich Schiller University Jena but ended up graduating with a degree in media design from Bauhaus University in Weimar, Germany. Seidel’s work blends the organic and inorganic into a sensuous, almost hallucinogenic experience. Imagine Ernst Haeckel meets Stan Brakhage in the world of super-fast affordable computing technology. Some of Seidel’s works will be showing at this year’s UCLA Game Arts Festival presented by the Hammer Student Association and taking place at the Hammer Museum Wednesday May 8 @ 7PM.
